I have attended countless professional developments, conferences, and workshops throughout my career.
I joined Atlanta ISD in August of 2019. This is my second year and I currently serve as an English II instructor. This year my classroom duties encompass teaching English II and College preparation.
I began my teaching career in Dallas ISD. While there I have served in many capacities such as: classroom teacher, AVID teacher/Coordinator, Academic Coordinator, Girl’s athletic coach, Academic Coordinator, Data Analyst, Night school teacher, Credit Recovery Coordinator, and Instructional Coach.
I am no longer married, but I have two adult children. Both attended AHS, but only one graduate from Atlanta. My son was a renowned football player and he was called “Dip”;aka James B. Johnson. My daughter graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Dallas ISD. I am not a pet owner.
