Debate Team Excels at Hallsville Meet

Hallsville meet 10/10/03 

We had a very good Saturday for the Atlanta Debate team. Alex Jones and Ingrid Baizabal cross entered in Policy Debate and Extemporaneous Speaking, together they brought home 1st place in policy. Alex got 3rd place in Persuasive and Ingrid received 5th in Informative. Alex Jones was also top speaker for the day. In LD we had Jon Kennedy, Cademon Larson, and Manuel Olvera compete. In Jon's first meet he went 1 and 2, Manuel speaking for the first time in varsity debate also went 1 and 2, while Cademon's second outing in varsity went 2 and 1. We are very proud of the professionalism and work these kids put in and am happy to have them on our debate team!
