CNA Students Pass National Nurse Aide Assessment Exam

Posted Date: 05/12/2022

Atlanta High School students enrolled in the Certified Nurse Aide Program (CNA) traveled to Lufkin and Texarkana with Instructor Kara Gennings and successfully passed the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program written exam and hands-on clinical skills exam in May. CNA's are vital members of the health care team and the CNA program at Atlanta High School prepares students to give the highest quality of care in long term care facilities and hospitals. CNA's must be able to communicate and interact with patients and families and provide patient care effectively and safely.  Students must complete the required classroom and clinical hours set by HHSC/NATCEP.  Once course requirements are fulfilled, students must take the NNAAP examination, which consists of a timed written evaluation and clinical skills evaluation.
