AP Chemistry Students Participate in Science Showcase Event at NSU

Atlanta High School AP Chemistry students Carley Blaydes, Charles Gross, and Victoria Scott traveled to Natchitoches, LA to experience a day in the life of a science major at Northwestern State University in the annual science showcase event.
 
In the science showcase, students were introduced to faculty, staff, and currently enrolled students and were encouraged to ask questions about life as a college student and even careers in science. The students were then split into groups based on their desired career interest and were sent off to partake in college-level experiments such as cow heart dissection, chemical synthesis experiments, flying drones, programming robots, and much more.
